Born in Greece, AJ Ginnis spent his early years in Austria before moving to Vermont's famed Green Mountain Valley School, where he really started to fine-tune his skiing. Things clicked so well that he was asked to join the U.S. Development Team after a spring 2012 tryout camp. He pounced on the opportunity and uprooted again for Park City to train at the Center of Excellence. After missing the entire 2013 season with a torn ACL, Ginnis was back in the gate during the Olympic year. While he didn’t push the envelope (still gaining strength), he did win a number of FIS races and finished top 20 in giant slalom at the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships in Squaw Valley.

Ginnis had a big year in 2015, getting some experience on the World Cup circuit and earning himself a podium at Junior World Championships in Hafjell, Norway and capping the season by grabbing second place in slalom at U.S. Alpine Championships in Sugarloaf, ME. After sitting a portion of the 2016 season with a torn meniscus, Ginnis is strong again and looking to find his way back to the World Cup circuit in 2017. He's hungry for his first World Cup points. Go get 'em AJ!

AJ Ginnis started skiing at Parnassos Mountain, Greece at the age of 2. His father ran a ski school, which made it very easy for AJ to find a passion for skiing.
