Skiing is in Seppi Stiegler's blood. His father Pepi is a three-time Olympic medalist – including slalom gold in 1964 for Austria and older sister Resi is a long-time member of the women's U.S. Ski Team.
It was locals day at Squaw Valley as Tim Jitloff (Reno, NV) boosted his U.S. title count to four with victory in the men's giant slalom to close a sun soaked day one of competition at the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships.

![]() BIOGRAPHY: Choosing the collegiate route proved to be a good one for Stiegler, a recent graduate of the University of Denver with a degree in business management. During his senior year, he not only raked in the NCAA giant slalom title, but was named a First-Team All American and finished third in slalom at the 2011 Putnam Investments U.S. Alpine Championships, serendipitously matching his sister's slalom result. An invitation to the U.S. Ski Team's spring tryout camp in Mammoth Mountain, CA resulted in a nomination to the 2012 squad.
