BIOGRAPHY:
Another member of the famous Skiing Cochrans, Ryan Cochran-Siegle's mother is 1972 Olympic slalom gold medalist Barbara Ann Cochran, which also means he's cousins with U.S. Ski Teamer Jimmy Cochran. But he didn't make the Team by family attrition; he crushed the final half of the 2010 season with the overall Eastern Cup title and the U.S. Junior Championship for super G propelling him to the U.S. Development Team as a high schooler.

The D Team experience paid off in spades as Cochran-Siegle ripped through the 2011 NorAm season to claim four super G wins en route to the discipline title. A second place in the super combined standings and third in the overall was just a bonus.

In between, he jumped a plane to Euroland to ski all five disciplines at the FIS Junior World Championships in Crans Montana, Switzerland and busted top 15 finishes in super G, giant slalom and combined. Then as a capper he hoisted a third-place finish in super G at the Putnam Investments U.S. Alpine Championships, coincidently it was the same day his uncle Bobby Cochran was being inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.

RYAN SAYS:
"Last season gave me a lot of motivation to get better. I really want to push myself this summer. I feel like I have a lot more going for me so I definitely want to keep rolling."

FIRST TRACKS:
With skiing in the family blood line, it's pretty safe to say Cochran-Siegle got his start at the family ski area in Richmond, VT. But, like any active kid, he was into all sorts of sports including soccer and baseball before centering on skiing following high school graduation. A solid 2010 season boosted him to the U.S. Development Team and he made good on the experience with a jump to the B Team the following winter.

OFF THE SNOW:
He, like his cousins and other members of the Cochran clan spend a lot of time at the family ski area. But things just got a little sweeter with the grand opening of their sugar shack and thus Cochran's Slopeside Syrup was born. Order yours at www.slopesidesyrup.com.
