Raised in Wyoming, Anna Marno has her dad, a former coach and racer, to thank for introducing her to the slopes at Snowy Range. It didn't take her long to get fast, and she qualified for U.S. Championships when she was a first-year J2. After the 2010 season, she got an invite to the U.S. Development Team and is now in her fourth season on the squad.

Marno posted three NorAm top-three results early in the 2013 season (including a super G win on the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain) as well as a third in the U.S. Championships downhill in mid December. Then out of nowhere a fluke training crash in Soelden, Austria ended her season early. The diagnosis was a torn ACL/MCL and micro fractures on her left tibial plateau. Still, the fact that she still finished second in the season-long NorAm super G standings helped to provide all the motivation she needed for rehab.
