U.S. Ski Team

The U.S. Ski Team programs consist of A, B, and C teams. The objective of these programs is to field teams that are capable of national and international success.  This success is to be measured by winning at the Olympic, World Championship, World Cup, World Jr. Championship, European Cup, and Nor Am Cup events.

These Teams will consist of no more than 30 men and 30 women selected objectively and through coaches’ discretion based on the published U.S. Ski Team criteria (link) and the subsequent agreement to the terms of the U.S. Ski Team Athlete Agreement.  This agreement outlines the responsibilities of the athletes and the organization in providing a high quality, productive work environment in accordance with the USSA core values.

Implementation of the U.S. Ski Team program is based on the following factors:

  • Best practices review for proper content of programs.
  • International competitive analysis for proper management of athletes.
  • Leadership provided by experienced coaches.
  • Team environment that seeks effective management of the individual athletes.
  • Responsible management of resources.
